Attorney Jennifer A. DeYoung
Jennifer De Young has practiced law since 1996 all in Western Michigan and is a member of the State of Michigan Bar. Starting as the legal clerk for Berrien County Circuit Court, Jennifer then established herself as a long-standing attorney serving numerous citizens of Western Michigan. Jennifer has previously served as a board member in local agencies including Pathways MI and the City of Holland Teen Court.
She has broad experience in family law issues, everything from guardianships and adoptions, to divorce matters including parenting time and child support issues. Jennifer is also certified in Collaborative Divorce practice and a member of both the Collaborative Practice Institute of Michigan and the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals. Jennifer also acts as a mediator in family law cases.
For many years, Jennifer has also served as a guardian ad litem for adults and minors in guardianship and conservatorships cases in Ottawa County Probate Court. Jennifer is able to assist you in setting up guardianships and conservatorships as well.
Jennifer has also been admitted to practice in the United States District Court, Western District Court of Michigan and has practiced bankruptcy law in the Western District Court for 16 years. Jennifer is able to assist you with advice regarding financial matters and assist you in a bankruptcy filing if needed. Jennifer and our firm can also provide you with assistance in debt negotiation in cases where bankruptcy can be avoided.
Finally, Jennifer also practices in the area of estate planning and can assist you with your estate planning needs including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
