Collaborative Divorce Process

……………………………………………………….

Divorce is a very difficult and personal matter.  Collaborative divorce is an alternative to the traditional divorce process and provides an avenue for resolving the issues faced in your divorce in a fair and effective manner without litigation.  The process takes a more family focused approach to divorce which focuses on the needs of the children and the individuals, and finding mutually acceptable resolutions to the issues that are important to you and your family.

All parties commit to reaching a settlement of the divorce outside Court.  The parties negotiate the terms of their divorce in a collaborative setting rather than an adversarial Court proceeding with the assistance of their attorneys and possibly other trained professionals.  Once a resolution is reached, then the agreement is entered with the Court.  Collaborative divorce allows parties to reach mutually agreeable resolutions of their issues in a manner that preserves respect, integrity and communication.
